I would like to integrate Claude into Abode, but am getting ‘Your organization does not allow access to third party applications’ before I am able to input my Adobe credentials.  I have the setting turned on to allow staff to integrate apps and Claude is not an an option on my list on ‘Add App Integrations’ in Adobe.  Any thoughts?

Hi @seth58623651,

Thank you for reaching out, and we understand how frustrating it must be to run into this roadblock when trying to get a new integration working for your team.

From what you've described, you're seeing the error "Your organization does not allow access to third-party applications" when attempting to integrate Claude with Adobe. You've also noticed that Claude doesn't appear as an option in the "Add App Integrations" section of the Admin Console, even though third-party app access is enabled for your staff.

To help us investigate this efficiently, could you please clarify the following:

  1. Are you trying to set up the "Adobe for creativity" connector from within Claude? The Adobe + Claude integration is set up from Claude's side, not from the Adobe Admin Console. It uses the MCP (Model Context Protocol) and is installed via Claude's Customize > Connectors settings. You will not find it listed under "Add App Integrations" in the Adobe Admin Console, as that section is specifically for apps from the Adobe Exchange marketplace. The setup instructions are available here: https://adobe.ly/4f9OD5F

  2. Where exactly does the error appear? Does it show when you try to sign in with your Adobe credentials during the connector setup on Claude's side, or somewhere within the Adobe Admin Console?

  3. Which Adobe account are you using to authenticate? Could you let me know if you're signing in with the same email associated with your Team Education subscription?

  4. Could you share a screenshot of the error? This will help us identify exactly where in the flow the block is occurring.

  5. Just so you know, managing third-party application access settings in the Admin Console requires System Administrator privileges. If you are not a System Administrator, you may need to work with your organization's System Admin to review and adjust these settings.

Please share these details, and we'll take it from there. We want to make sure you and your team can get this working as smoothly as possible.

Thanks,
^BS

Hi @thbrandt_su, @seth58623651, @MICHAEL247130228tl0,

I realized I missed asking this earlier while we were working on the issue. Could you please confirm whether the following setting is enabled before attempting to connect?

Team and Enterprise setup: An enterprise admin must enable 3P Connectors under Organization settings → Skills before members can use the full experience. Owners can also provision the connector and recommended skills organization-wide.

You can find more details here:
Adobe account requirements

Please let me know if this helps, or if you need any further assistance.

Thanks,

^BS

Thanks so much for continuing to assist with this.  I am not able to enable that setting, as I am on a Claude Pro plan, not a Team/Enterprise plan.

I think I might have found a workaround, but I am going to fully test on my team next week.  I got Claude to connect on my workstation by selecting my personal profile in lieu of my company profile.  I was then able to see the connection on any my workstations that I use.

Hi @seth58623651,

Thank you for the update. Glad to hear the personal profile connection is working across your workstations.

Please do come back and let us know how the team testing goes next week. We'd be happy to help if anything comes up.

Thanks,

^BS

Thanks followed the steps on https://adobe.ly/4f9OD5F and also getting the error (Your organization does not allow access to third party applications.) on the Adobe admin side under Add app integrations - there is no claude.

User -accpeted integrations there is no claude. When you try to connect from Claude it automatically pushes the error, no user login to authenticate.

Hi @MICHAEL247130228tl0,

Thank you for reaching out, and we understand how frustrating it must be to hit this error when trying to get the Adobe for creativity connector up and running.

To help us investigate this further, could you share a screenshot of what you're seeing under Products > App Integrations in your Admin Console? This will give us a clearer picture of your current setup and help us point you in the right direction.

Looking forward to your reply!

Thanks,
^BS

Hello.

Yes, I am trying to install the ‘Adobe for Creativity’ connector from Claude.

The error appears after I attempt to install the connector.  If Chrome is set as default browser, I just get the error message.  When I made Edge the default browser, I was directed to the Abobe login page, where I selected my Education Subscription.  After entering my credentials, I received the same error mess.  And I am a system administrator.  The error message from the browser is below.

Thanks!!

Seth

Hi @seth58623651,

Thank you for coming back with those details and the screenshot of the error, that's very helpful.

The error "Your organization does not allow access to third party applications" is being generated when you attempt to authenticate during the connector setup.

Since you've confirmed you are a System Administrator and have already tried multiple browsers, this will need to be investigated by our support team to identify what is causing the restriction on your organization's account.

Please open a support case directly from your Adobe Admin Console > Support tab, and include all the details, like:

  • The exact error message and screenshot you shared here
  • That you are attempting to authenticate with the "Adobe for creativity" MCP connector from Claude (https://developer.adobe.com/adobe-for-creativity/getting-started/)
  • That you've tried both Chrome and Edge browsers with the same result

This will help our support team investigate the specific policies on your account and get this resolved. Please let us know how it goes, we're happy to assist further.

Thanks,

^BS

I am seeing the same thing as Seth.

I will also submit a ticket, though wanted to share he is not the only one.
