I can't deactivate Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro

You don't provide enough detail for anyone to provide possible help. However, my first thought is "why deactivate?". . . I'm guessing you may want to install on another machine (you can install on 2 simultaneously), but the product is so old you should verify you even have a machine on which you can install that discontinued version.
