I keep getting an Error 105

Hi,

I keep getting an Error 105.

I tried to follow the instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/unable-to-install-error-105.html?jarvisData=%7B%22versionPath%22%3A%222.29.3%22%2C%22cookieGuid%22%3A%22NA%22%2C%22customData%22%3A%7B%22cookiesEnabled%22%3Atrue%2C%22analyticsServerEnv%22%3A%22%22%7D%7D#

These instructions are telling me to Use the Finder to navigate to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps/

I am able to get to  /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ but the /caps/ folder is missing.

I tried getting help through Adobe Support, but it tells me I need to get help from my system admin. This is a personal account on a personal computer, so I have no admin to help me and I am stuck in a loop that is wasting my time. Sorry to vent but it's very frustrating.

I appreciate any help or advice you can provide.

Hi Jeff,

I understand you cannot help me here in this forum, but does Adobe not have a help desk for customers with paid licenses?

Ricardo

We do, Ricardo. For individual memberships, it starts with beginning a secure chat session at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html under the e-mail address associated with the active membership.

As previously discussed, if you click on https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen it will auto open a chat session. If this fails, you face significant problems either with the current web browser, or if you are blocked in multiple browsers, with either the installed security software or the operating system's configuration.

Please use a different device to begin a chat session at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen, if you have not done so already.

Ricardo, I am sorry this has been a frustrating experience for you. I will be moving this public discusison to the Enterprise & Teams forum because the e-mail address and membership you are using is managed by an organization.  The organizations Creative Cloud Admin has the ability to contact us, on your behalf, if necessary. Please see https://helpx.adobe.com/support/programs/enterprise-support-terms.html for more information.

If you do plan to purchase an individual membership, please make sure to use a different e-mail address. This will avoid any confusion between the plan offered and managed by your organization.

hi Jeff,

I bought this license using an educational discount through collegebuys.org.

This required me to use my work email (.edu) but the IT folks from my school will not support it because it is my personal license on my personal device.

Please advise what I can do to make it work.

Thanks!

I am sorry, Ricardo, I did not see an active individual membership associated with the e-mail address you used to post to this public discussion forum.

You may want to look into canceling your current membership if you are unable to locate an applicable support option.   If you do have an individual membership then see http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cancel-membership-subscription.html for steps you can take to cancel the membership. You will need to be logged in with the e-mail address you used to subscribe to the Creative Cloud membership.
