Pressing OK and downloading the suggested installer also return the error 717.

Correct answer Nancy OShea

Did you upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10, currently 21H1?

Does your computer exceed the min-requirements to run Creative Cloud?

Check each one for each app you use.

If anyone is having this issue in 2023 here's the resolution.

An optional feature for Windows 10/11 needs to be installed.

Settings - Apps - Option Features - Internet Explorer Mode

This will then need Edge will need to show the Default Browser settings showing "Internet Explorer Mode"

I, like many others have probably installed and Slipstreamed Windows 11 LTSC / Windows 11 pro to remove junk, or if you ran any tools to get rid of stuff.

This feature needs to be installed.

I was unable to just add the feature back via Optional Features, Edge would never show the new configuration, maybe somebody more smarter than I could figure out what's going on. Whenever I slipstreamed my Windows 11 and Windows 11 LTSC builds and included the Internet Explorer 32 bit optional modules everything worked as inteneded.

My guess is coding is just using those like others have said.

Unfortunatly it is a re-install of the OS with these options on at this moment unless somebody else can figure out how to add the Optional Module and get Edge to enable it.

It's also possible on a domain joined machine that your administrator has disabled Internet Explorer mode for Edge.

A little extra note: LTSC builds are not supported.
