Installation of package failing

I am new to deploying Adobe products and am currently trying to sort out a deployment of all software to 100 devices within a school environment.

Following the instructions from Adobe I have downloaded the Creative Cloud Packager and used that to download the installer for the software.

It has created a folder within the specified directory. Within this there is a "Build" folder, a "Exceptions" folder and a .ccp file.

Within the "Build" folder is an .MSI which I'm assuming is what I'm supposed to run to install.
If I double click this is brings up the standard Windows Installer dialogue and the bar runs through almost twice before stopping then rolling back. I get no error messages at this point, the dialogue just closes.
The machines Event Viewer logs show the following:

"Product: Adobe Creative Cloud Apps 32bit -- Installation operation failed."


"Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Adobe Creative Cloud Apps 32bit. Product Version: 1.0.0000. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Adobe Systems Incorporated. Installation success or error status: 1603."

The machine I am trialling this on is Win 10 Enterprise x64.

I am local administrator on the machine so have install rights.

Can anyone please help and shed light on the issue?

Or is there another way of downloading and deploying software to multiple machines?

    Hi Chris,

    If you wish to deploy the applications anonymously, i.e. if you do not want the users to be prompted for a sign in or a serial number when using them, the package needs to be built using the Creative Cloud packager only.

    Now, there are multiple kinds of solutions that our applications are sold under. If you do not think you have ever used a serial number before, I am guessing your school has purchased Device Licenses which is what can be deployed without any serial numbers and a sign in. Now if the package is asking you for a serial number to build the package, I suspect you may be chosen an incorrect product type on the Creative Cloud Packager welcome screen.

    To ensure you are choosing the right product, please log out of the Creative Cloud Packager ( click on your name in the top right and choose the option to sign out) and then on the welcome screen, choose the first option for Creative Cloud for Teams and Eduction. Then in the license type, choose Device license. This should stop the Packager asking you for a serial number when creating packages.

    Hi Chris,

    Creative Cloud packages are designed in such a way that a 32-bit package can only be installed on a 32-bit machine and a 64-bit package on a 64-bit machine. So if your target machine is a 64-bit machine, please make sure you are choosing to create a 64-bit package on the Package Details screen on the Creative Cloud packager.

    Hi Ankising,

    I have now tried with the x64 version and am still getting the same issue. The installation terminates with no visible errors.
    Event viewer reports "Installation success or error status: 1603.".

    In an attempt to resolve I have uninstalled all related software on the machine including the CC Packager and deleted the old packages.
    When I download and run it again to build a new package it is now asking for a serial which it didn't do before. To my knowledge we haven't seen one for the subscription nor can I find it on the Adobe website under the account. I need to follow up with the school where they purchased the software from in order to contact them regarding a serial unless it is available through the account section on the website.

    Is there any other way of downloading/deploying the software or does the CC Packager have to be used?

      You might try creating packages for a 64-bit environment.

      "Product: Adobe Creative Cloud Apps 32bit -- Installation operation failed."

      The machine I am trialling this on is Win 10 Enterprise x64.
