Is Creative Cloud 2018 released yet?

Our company is on Creative Cloud subscription for Windows and we are using the 2017 versions of In Design, Illustrator, and Photoshop.  I can't find the 2018 versions of these programs to download using the Creative Cloud Packager.  Have they been released yet?

Hi,

Adobe changed the nomenclature used for the last Creative Cloud release, we refer to just CC rather than 'CC 2018'.

The latest version is always available from the Creative Cloud Desktop App.

If the name is now "Adobe CC", how do we know if I have the latest version to distribute to the company?

Hi,

You can drill down in the list within Creative Cloud Packager to see the exact version - e.g Photoshop 19.0.

If you have already built a package containing the application you will see a tick icon beside it in CCP.

In the past, when Adobe changed the product title, everyone knew that files saved in the new format could not be opened in previous versions.  For example, when Adobe released Creative Cloud 2015, everyone knew they could not open those files with Creative Suite 6, and it was time to upgrade.  How will people know when their Photoshop 2017 is not compatible with the new "Photoshop CC", and they have to upgrade?  Most companies do not allow their users to have admin rights and can't update their software on their own.
