Is this Adobe e-mail a scam?

We got this e-mail from “Adobe”, and we wanted to make sure that this is legitimate. If it is, is this migration required?

Hi J***,

There are several individual Adobe licenses under ‘***.com’ for your Adobe Contract ‘209*******************’ that are currently unmanaged. Not taking any action right now may lead to:

  • No admin control over company assets and IP
  • Multiple invoices with different renewal dates
  • Inability to reassign licenses when employees leave
  • Decentralized license management across teams

I’m Shradha from Adobe. I’m here to help you effectively manage your licenses and make the most out of your Adobe investments.

The migration is completely seamless—users keep the same Adobe IDs, passwords, files, and settings.

If you'd like to review the list of affected users, simply reply to this email and I'll share the details.

Once I have an approval from you, I'll prepare the consolidation request and take care of the process end-to-end.

    Hi @Blissful_Odysseyf512,

Thank you for reaching out, and we completely understand wanting to verify this before taking any action. Getting an unexpected email about license changes, especially one asking for approval to consolidate accounts, is exactly the kind of thing worth pausing on.

What you have described matches our Individual to Teams outreach process. This type of communication is sent when an organization already has an active contract, but there are individual subscriptions associated with email addresses from the same domain that are not yet linked to that contract. In those cases, an Adobe representative may reach out to recommend bringing those licenses under one account for centralized management and billing. That said, we do not want you to rely on the email alone, so let us verify the specifics on our end before you respond to it.

I have sent you a personal message with a few follow-up questions so we can confirm the details for your account. Please take a moment to review it and reply at your convenience.

    Thanks,
    ^AV
