Issue reassigning a newly purchased 7000 Firefly generative AI credit license (user shows 0)

We originally purchased three 7,000-credit Firefly packs and assigned them to three designers. One designer used all 7,000 credits very quickly, so I purchased an additional 7,000-credit license, thinking I could unassign his depleted pack and reassign the new, unused pack to give him a fresh 7,000 credits.

Here’s what happened:

  • We now have 4 total 7,000-credit licenses.

  • 3 are assigned, and the newly purchased one is unassigned.

  • I unassigned the depleted pack from the designer, leaving 2 unassigned 7,000-credit licenses:

    • one new/unused

    • one previously assigned/depleted

  • However, the Admin Console doesn’t let you choose which unassigned license to apply.

  • When I assign a 7,000-credit pack back to the designer, their Firefly credit balance still shows 0 credits, even after logging out/in.

My questions:

  1. Is there any way to ensure the new, unused 7,000-credit pack is assigned so that the user receives credits mid-cycle?

  2. Is it expected behavior that reassigning a 7,000-credit pack to a user who has already consumed their credits does not restore credits for the current cycle?

  3. Is there any method in the Admin Console to distinguish between a used vs. unused 7,000-credit license?

  4. If credits cannot be restored mid-cycle, does this mean each user’s Firefly credit counter is effectively locked until the monthly billing reset, regardless of how many credit packs the organization owns?

  5. If instead we upgrade this user to the 50,000-credit add-on plan, would they receive the 50,000 credits immediately, or only at their next monthly billing/reset date?

Any clarification on expected behavior or best practices for managing Firefly credits in Teams would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
