Hi @22210810,

Thanks for reaching out.

Based on your query, after upgrading to Photoshop v27.2.0, you are experiencing missing tool icons in the toolbar and issues transferring images from Lightroom to Photoshop using “Edit In.” Please confirm if this is the issue you need assistance with.

I recommend following the steps below.

Toolbar icons missing can sometimes occur when Photoshop’s UI cache, preferences, or certain plugin storage files become corrupted.

First, please try resetting Photoshop preferences, as corrupted preferences commonly cause toolbar and UI issues.

Close Photoshop.
Hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) / Cmd + Option + Shift (Mac).
Launch Photoshop.
Click Yes when prompted to delete preferences.

You can find detailed steps here:

After this, check whether the toolbar icons are restored.

Next, reset the Toolbar and Workspace.

Open Photoshop.
Go to Edit → Toolbar → Restore Defaults.
Then go to Window → Workspace → Reset Essentials.

This can help restore missing or invisible tools.

If the issue still persists, please perform a clean reinstall using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. After running the tool, restart your machine and then reinstall Photoshop.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
