6 years ago i asked if the AUSST tool can only download Windows ONLY Adobe updates on the update server i run internally for my business, the answer was no, its 2026 are we still only downloading everything? i dont need MAC and now MAC universal. its wasting disk space and each time i do the weekly check in incremental update it still downloads all the usless MAC files and have to delete all after each. its such a waste and backwards process! come on Adobe… the worlds most popular OS is WINDOWS…!!!

Adobe will never fix this.. we don’t use any MAC devices but we are still forced to download the whole MAC Updates for Adobe. When applying for Jobs I am asking the interviewer whether they use Adobe or not and if they say yes then I would never proceed with the job.. That is how complicated and bad it is and I would like to add more about the RUM remote update manager it is the tool that never works right. Adobe is pain.

    Hi @Steven31543613gtxa

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we understand your concern regarding the update behavior and disk space usage. Currently, the AUSST tool does not provide an option to download updates for only a specific operating system, and we recognize how this can impact storage and maintenance efforts.

We will make sure to share your feedback with the product team so they can review this. Input like yours is valuable and helps highlight areas where the experience can be improved.

We appreciate you taking the time to share this with us.

    Regards,

    ^AN

its like you focus on home users and dont care about businesses, the ones that have limited resources to manage services, you expect us to keep downloading all these files, now there is Universal MAC and Intel, so thats more wasted data downloading. every incremental update total download keeps raising, its now over 800 packages it needs to fetch, and each one has Windows, Mac Intel and Mac Universal. can not believe after 5 years you still saying we will pass this on to the teams for reviews. clearly they haven’t!
