Making 2022 versions of indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop available to use again from downloads

I'm affraid I'm not happy with the new 2023 versions of indesign, illustrator and photoshop, and would like to have the option of using the 2022 versions. I don't want to be using applications that step back in time and dont offer a credible swatch pallette that all printers recognise. I know what you are going to say @adobe (pantone are at fault) so I'm suggesting for now adding in the 2022 versions back to the CC suite - or designers might dare i say it look at alternative packages to desktop publish on.

Any other designers feel strongly about the PANTONE issue with new 2023 applications?

    Hi

Versions 2022 are available from the Creative Cloud app

your message was moved by adobe support to the enterprise&teams forums and that implies the previous advice may not apply to you.  try it, but if there's, for example, no way to enable older versions, that may be because of your subscription administrator.  in that situation, contact your plan administrator.

Also, recommend you turn off deleting old versions. The smart money is on keeping the old version around until the new one satisfies you.

Yes I'll be keeping the 2022 apps just for ease - why on earth would you have a DTP app without simplicity of accessing colour swatches. Pantone have unleashed a monster of an issue here, as I'm sure designers are going to be reluctant to caugh up more coin to get what they already had for free!

If you have an Enterprise or Teams licence, create an 2022 installer.

The problem that Pantone encounters is that the printing business is breaking away. People use the Pantone palette to their colours. Then they print CMYK because it's cheaper and nearly as good.

So, Pantone needs to find new resources. If the end-user (printer) does not pay any more, the primary user (designer) needs to do that. It's a business model…

uninstall the versions you don't want, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

click the hamburger menu at the cc app's upper left > files > preferences > creative cloud > tick 'show older apps'. then: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

Followed the advice thanx - old 2022 versions keep on asking to convert a few files created with 2023 - but that also seams to be working without corupting any files, again a relief as i dont save any files as idml ones.
