Question

Method to deploy updates, but not having the updates hosted on any sort of server....

So I only recently started to look at the Creative Cloud Packager and have been able to create the MSI install files for Photoshop and so on and can see that I can create the MSI files to include the application and the update together.

The question is how to deploy updates to existing endpoints that already have the application installed.  So for example, the first test was just the application and no updates.  Installed that on a test PC.  Used the packager tool to create the MSI files again but this time, including the updates.  I then ran the MSI again and the update worked, however the re-installation took a while (20 minutes vs 15 minutes) so not sure if there's any way that the update can be applied quicker vs reinstalling.

In the environment I support, there is no method available today where I can the method that Adobe is recommending and thus I need to place the update files on the PC itself.  If the updates are on the PC, is there any way to tell the Adobe updater to look at the update folder and then apply the updates from there?  (If this was already asked before here, I couldn't find it).

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Nobody?  Everybody using automatic updates either from Adobe directly or using an internal Adobe update server?
