Migrating from device to shared device licenses - Many questions for anyone with experience.

Hi, I'm trying to reach support but I'm constantly on hold, so maybe someone here can help.

I've been told that once I migrate our license to shared device license, it will allow use of 2019 and later versions of Adobe CC, without any other changes to our licensing.  I've read that device licensed computers will need to be updated in some way to be compliant within 30 days of the migration.  Here are my questions:

1. Is the first part true. Will this for sure allow me to install 2019 versions?

2. Does everyone need their own login, or can there be a shared login?

3. For the existing deployments, is there a simple licensing package that will update them, or does the entire Adobe CC installation have to be removed then reinstalled? Has anyone actually done this and know that it works without a lot of issues?

4. If I decide to stick with 2018 device licensing, how long can I continue to use this, will it expire and force us to switch?  I don't see any messages alerting me to any sort of danger of problems inside the admin console.

Thanks

Answer: Yes, you can install the 2019 and 2020 version once you migrate the license from the device to the shared device license.

2. Does everyone need their own login, or can there be a shared login?
Answer: The users have to use their own login account to access the machine and the creative cloud apps.

3. For the existing deployments, is there a simple licensing package that will update them, or does the entire Adobe CC installation have to be removed then reinstalled? Has anyone actually done this and know that it works without a lot of issues?
Answer: You have to remove all old apps which are installed on your lab machine, create a new package from the admin console selecting "shared device license" and install it. Running the license package will not activate the apps because you using the 2018 version in device license and SDL supports 2019 version apps.

You can check our deployment guide for more details: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/using/sdl-deployment-guide.html.

4. If I decide to stick with 2018 device licensing, how long can I continue to use this, will it expire and force us to switch? I don't see any messages alerting me to any sort of danger of problems inside the admin console.
Answer: The moment you migrate from the device to the shared device license, you get 30 days to migrate the apps. After 30 days the device license based apps will stop working or will get a prompt like "license expired".

I hope, I was able to answer your query.
