Migrating users from Adobe ID to Federated ID so we can implement SSO. In the csv, if their username is listed as firstname.lastname@domain.com but their default username in our domain is just lastname@domain.com - should I be changing that in the “new username” column in the csv?

    Hi @wagar

Thank you for reaching out. Based on your query, it appears you’re migrating users from Adobe ID to Federated ID to enable SSO and would like to confirm how the username should be handled during the CSV-based identity switch.

In brief, the value in the “New Username” column should match the user’s actual login/UPN in your identity provider (i.e., the account used for SSO). If your IdP authenticates users as lastname@domain.com, you should update the “New Username” accordingly—even if the existing Adobe ID username is firstname.lastname@domain.com.

This alignment is important to ensure successful SSO authentication and to avoid potential login issues or duplicate account conflicts, as Adobe requires the CSV details to match your directory configuration. Please check this doc for more info on this: https://adobe.ly/4lR2WgM

Additionally I would recommend you to check out the video mentioned in the doc to know more about the process.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any further clarification or have any additional questions.

    Regards,
    ^AN
