Vince

Hi @Vincent235739697ynq officially Adobe does not support workflows off external servers, NAS, cloud services, etc. due to the issues with syncing files and resources.

Accessing files from multiple Macs on a NAS is never going to end well. My biggest recommendation is to use a DAM or similar service to add structure and a check out local/check in to the service to eliminate issues.

There are some things you can do to help but the Mac OS Finder is one of the main culprits, and its gotten worse since Catalina. Here are some things to try:

1. Fonts and other resources should be stored locally on each Mac.

2. Disable column preview in Finder options. In the same vein don't use quicklook or other previews on the server.

3. Drag files locally then access, edit, and drag back when completed.

Be aware this is not a new issue, it's been this way for decades and not an Adobe specific issue.
