Monitoring Acrobat usage in the organization.

Good morning.
I'm sending this question to you just for confirmation, because it seems that Adobe's documentation
and guides indicate this, in my opinion. Below is the question: I want to purchase the latest version of Adobe Acrobat for my organization,
but I don't want to purchase licenses for all users. Since I understand there are no floating licenses,
I want to assign licenses to certain users and monitor whether they are actually using it,
then unassign them and provide the license and product to other users who require it. Is this possible?
Do I understand it could be done using the admin console? What monitoring information could I obtain?
Weekly usage, hourly usage, last access to the product by the user?
Furthermore, I understand that a Designated User License is the most appropriate license type? Thank you very much!
Bert regards

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out.

We have Creative Cloud for teams and Creative Cloud for Enterprise subscriptions. You can learn more about what's included here: https://adobe.ly/3FGGEOm.

I suggest contacting the sales team to understand the types of entitlements available and which would suit you best. To contact them, you can request a consultation via https://adobe.ly/4dOO2DL

I hope this helps you.

Thanks,

^BS

The actual correct answer to this question is no, there is no way for admins to monitor actual usage of their applications within the Adobe platform.

There are third party solutions to address this, but they cost money.

Adobe will not provide this functionality without a significant incentive, as it will likely reduce subscriptions when people discover how many users are not actually using their subscriptions.

Hi @NCHostmaster,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how critical it is for license administrators to have greater visibility into user activity, particularly in dynamic environments where team members may frequently join, leave, or change roles.

Currently, the Adobe Admin Console does not display the last sign-in time for users. However, we’ve noted your request and will share it with the appropriate product teams for future consideration.

In the meantime, you may find this related discussion helpful: Users in Admin Console - Last Login Time and Filtering.

We appreciate your patience and encourage you to continue sharing your suggestions. Please feel free to follow this thread for any future updates

Regards,
