More Admin Console Options For Responding to Shared Device License Users' Requests for Named License

When users on our Shared Device Licenses request licenses for specific desktop applications from our Admin Console, we would like to have the following automation/response options added that are not currently in the Admin Console.

  • To grant an Adobe Express license, instead of a license to the desktop application the license they requested. Express is in a separate entitlement on our console. Currently, the options are binary: either we grant them what they request or we deny the request.
  • Custom Deny responses. We would like to have the admin console provide the ability to customize the denial message it sends in response to requests for Creative Cloud licenses. Currently, we work around the lack of customization on those denial messages by sending bespoke email messages to the customer, explaining in more detail why we denied their request or what they can do instead of this process to request a license for their desired application. The bespoke emails are not scalable or convenient and the templated emails in the admin console do not provide details when the reason is "Wrong Process for Requesting" a license.
  • Control which apps can be requested. - We would like to have the admin console provide the ability to control which products a user can request. Currently, users can request any application in Creative Cloud, including licenses we have no entitlements for! We would like to have the option in the console to either select which applications they are permitted to request from a SDL installation or to automatically deny all requests for a specific application when they come from users who already have specific entitlements.

Thanks, Nikhil. We had a call with our Account manager and our Customer Success rep today and got a commitment to elevate the issue internally for us.
