My firewall or your server? error 113
Hi,
My name is Khala and I am part of a Creative Cloud team membership. When I try to update/install to the latest Adobe apps, I receive the error code 113 - can't connect to Adobe servers which then prompts me to check my internet connectivity and firewall settings.
Here are some insights on my situation:
- My background is in graphic design
- My computer is a macOS High Sierra - if this makes a difference
- I work at a small non-profit - my team consists of 3 people
- Our tech dept. has two people - they have Mac-phobia
Now that you know this, the type of help I'm looking for is someone to walk me through what I need to do. I've looked at similar Adobe forums and have had my tech team review the firewall settings, and both are just a little bit over my head.
*Things I have tried
Shut down and restart
Test internet connectivity
Download application updater
Check firewall settings
*Observations and Notes
When I click to update/install one of the apps, the percentage has ranged from a low of %2 and a high of %47 before a download error appears.
Before the latest October 2017 update, I use to get the error code 201 which also was about connectivity I believe.
*Theories
Are the two somehow related, and what is the process of getting them fixed?
Thank you for time for taking the time to help me with this request, and I look forward to working with you soon.
Sincerely,
Khala
