Network requirements for AUSST

Hello,

I'm thinking about deploying an AUSST and I can't seem to find any good technical information about how the system works. Do the clients all pull the information all at once from the server? How many clients can one server support? Is there any documentation that gets more in depth about the requirements?

Thanks for your help.

Steven

No this is not covered by the documentation, but would depend on available bandwidth.

RUM does not have the option to throttle download speeds, however using RUM you can choose which clients to update and when, so controlling the bandwidth usage.

The AUSST documentation can be found here Using the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool (AUSST)

If you want more control over which client machines check for updates and when, the best way is to combine this with Remote Update Manager (RUM). Use Adobe Remote Update Manager

Is there any documentation that talks about how many clients you can support with one server? Does RUM give you options to throttle the clients download speed?
