Not a student anymore - how can I switch to regular payment?

Hi,

 

so, I just graduated from university. The student discount for the Creative Cloud runs of course with the mail adress I got from university. But that mail adress won't be valid anymore soon, and for some reason I also can't just switch it under account settings to my regular e-mail adress (that is not uni-related, I mean). What I am concerned about is, what happens if the account is connected to an invalid mail adress? I'm just worried  about my website (Portfolio).  

I would also have to switch to another subscription since I can't afford the Creative Cloud with the full price. 

 

So - what do I do? Will Adobe e.g. contact my secondary mail adress if my primary one does not work anymore?

If you have an individual plan with the student discount, you can continue this, until it expires. Subsequently, you will be switched to a regular plan with the then current prices, if you do not cancel the last month of your subscription. If your Adobe ID is connected to your school's e-mail address, You need to take steps to change that, however. Add first a secondary e-mail address and a cell phone number. That allows you to continue having access to your ID, even if the primary address gets switched off.

 

If you have a plan that is sponsored by your university, you will anyhow lose access to that plan as soon as you leave the university. You need, however, take steps to preserve your data.

if that fails to help there are 3 ways to contact adobe; chat, phone and twitter:

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true

You can migrate your assets into a *new" Adobe account. https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/migrate-student-assets.html

If your account/email will become invalid soon, I'd recommend that you transfer your assets quickly. Though, do read the instructions carefully before you proceed.

 

This feature, however, needs to be enabled by your IT Admins. So, incase you see an error please contact your IT Admins and ask them to enable it. You can send this article along to them: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/enable-student-asset-migration.html

    Thank you for your quick reply! And all of what you wrote makes sense - but: I managed to change the primary e-mail adress to a personal one. And it still shows on my account that I am registered as a student, but the verification (that I truly am a student) is not valid anymore. So I wonder: Does it then just switch to regular payment? I don't think the student account was really connected to my school, I just used the assigned e-mail every student gets and at one point uploaded a document that proofs I'm a student and therefore am allowed the discount. 

    So, basically - would my monthly CC payment of ca. 30€ just automatically switch the regular / no discount price of about 60€? Is that how it works?
