Package installer versus individual programs

This may be a bit of a newbie question but, what is the difference between downloading a creative cloud teams package for shared computers and individually downloading each program to the compuiters one by one other than time saving?

 

If the package wasn't working, for example, and instead I just downloaded creative cloud by itself and then all of the seperate programs, would they still work the same as a package?

As a Team Admin, If you are such a person, I would think it would be advised to find out Why the Package installer isn't working instead of allowing users to download and install the program by themselves.

Often, companies want complete control over installation of all software, and use tools like SCCS to "push" software to computers rather than walk around or do remote login. Packages are what us needed for this world. If you are content to let end users choose and install their apps, they aren't relevant.
