I misused my school email address and set up a personal account. I have not been able to switch it to a business account to access my school files.

This question has been asked multiple times, and I assume that tehre is not a human to answer it. The school has emails that are attached to business access, however when registering my email i wrongly selected personal instead of busienss. I need to erase the personal account so i can reregister as a school business account. If you woiuld have read the email above you could have inffered that. But let me be more explicit. My school provides access to the suite of services, but my school email address was erroneously registered as a person account. Please let me know how i can remedy that,

    Hi @FrustratedUser9999,

Thank you for reaching out, and we completely understand how frustrating it must be to be locked out of the files you need for school.

We've taken a quick look at the email address you used to post here, and it appears to currently be a free Adobe ID, with no paid plan associated with it, whether personal or one provided by your school. That would explain why you aren't seeing an option to switch to a "business" account, as a Business Profile only becomes available once your school's administrator has assigned an Adobe plan from their Admin Console to your email address.

Just for some context, when you have multiple plans on the same email address and at least one of them is a business plan, Adobe will automatically create separate profiles (Personal and Business), so you can choose between them at sign-in. You can find the full reference here: https://adobe.ly/4vsQN5z

Here's what we'd suggest as a next step:

    1. It would be worth reaching out to your school's IT team or Adobe administrator (usually whoever manages software access at your school) to ask them to assign an Adobe license to your school email address. You can find some guidance on identifying and contacting your admin here: https://adobe.ly/43Ie07O. Once the license has been assigned, you should receive an invitation email from Adobe confirming your access.

    2. After the license is assigned, please try signing out of all Adobe apps and https://adobe.ly/3Rz2fOq, and then signing back in with your school email. You should then be prompted to choose between a Personal Profile and a Company or school account, and you can select the school account to access your school files.

Please feel free to let us know how it goes once you've had a chance to check with your school. We're always happy to assist further.

    Thanks,

    ^BS
