Preferences cannot be set for Individual Applications...

Hey

I'm trying to locate where in the Adobe documentation I read about the limits on setting application preferences. I seem to recall reading a section that specifically said when creating CC packages you cannot set or alter the preferences of individual applications. I wanted to have this on hand for a meeting with one of our Instructors. They continually ask for customization presets on CC apps. We now use individual logins to our Windows lab pcs and this is proving difficult.

We have not had the option to specify settings for 10+ years. Neither individual settings or otherwise during packaging.

However they can - to a certain degree - be specified post install. Mostly it involves placing files in specific folders etc. No real customization is possible.

We've mentioned this to Adobe on multiple occasions. This specific option is in high demand. :-)

Not exactly. I believe the Sync settings only works when you are using a Named license? Is that correct? We are deploying with device licenses and routinely get asked to make changes to individual CC programs and have those settings replicate among all users. This has not been feasible. It's my understanding that the method that each application uses to customize its configuration varies between apps?

I seem to recall reading something from the CC for education or enterprise deployment site that specifically mentioned that you CANNOT change defaults before deployment.
