Premiere Pro CC 2015.2 package installation fails to remove previous version, no option to specify removal

I am using CC Enterprise and the Package Creator to install Premiere Pro 15.2. The lab of computers I am working with are all the same and have Premiere Pro 14 already installed. According to Installation of CC 2015 applications uninstall CC 2014 applications by default this should be removing Premiere Pro 2014 unless I specify not to. I want it to remove 14, so that the computers are only running 15.2. It doesnt remove 14, and in fact there is no option for me to tell it to remove or not to remove previous versions.

Under Advanced Configuration there are the following options:

  • "If conflicting processes are running during installation: abort installation or Ignore conflicts and continue installation" (Ignore is checked).
  • Adobe update manager behavior: Adobe update manager is disabled (checked), Admin users update via Adobe Update Manager, or User internal update server.
  • Enable remote update manager deployment is checked.
  • Installation location: Deploy to default application directory, or Specify directory during deployment, or Specify Directory with a blank field.  (default is checked).
  • Package Configurations are set to: Enable both Creative Cloud Desktop Application and Applications and Updates via the Apps Panel. Since it recommends that if end users do not have admin rights to disable the Apps Panel, I unchecked that one.

I have tested package creation and installation using setup.exe from a network location twice, with the same result. 15 is installed but 14 is left installed (not removed). Could you help me with deployment so that I can successfully create a package that can be run on the remaining 30 computers to install 15 and remove 14 all at once, so that I dont have to individually remove 14?

Uninstallation is performed if installing via the Creative Cloud Desktop App.

Creative Cloud Packager does not currently have this functionality.

To uninstall, perform an msi uninstall. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc759262%28WS.10%29.aspx#BKMK_Uninstall

I have to ask the obvious question.  When will the CC Packager get the ability to uninstall previous packages/versions?  No enterprise I know of lets their users be administrators on their machines so running the Desktop App isn't applicable.  So the need to uninstall previous packages/versions is critical to have when you deploy a new version using the only valid method in an Enterprise of deploying using the packager.
