Prevent CC Update with AdobeUpdateAdminPrefs.dat

hi, i create a file like described here :

Disable auto-updates in Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite 6 apps

and saved as plain text. restart the machine. but in creative cloud app are still the update buttons. when i hit it, the update take place.

is there any way to prevent the auto updates ?
