Hi,

I have the same issue :

I get the error "failed to get proxy for the url, error:12180". I don't know what WPAD Rum is refering to. Any guidance would be appreciated. Oh, I did read the manuals on the Adobe site.

    Hi there,
Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the logs. Based on the details, it appears that your machine is failing to obtain a proxy for the requested URL. WPAD refers to the Web Proxy Auto-Discovery method used by Windows WinHTTP. The error code 12180 (ERROR_WINHTTP_AUTODETECTION_FAILED) is returned when WinHTTP cannot discover the Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) URL during the auto-proxy detection process. This issue is common in corporate environments where proxy or PAC file configuration is required but not set up correctly.

As a next step, I recommend testing network access:

Open a browser and try accessing the URL shown in the log. If it fails, the issue is likely network or proxy related.

If you are on a corporate network, please check with your IT team to ensure that Adobe endpoints are whitelisted and that proxy auto-detection (WPAD) is correctly configured.

For reference, please review this document on the domains that need to be allowed for Adobe apps and services to function correctly: https://adobe.ly/4n7iMEb

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

    Regards,
    ^AN
