Remote Update Manager on a Mac

We are trying to deploy Remote Update Manager to our Mac machines. We've created a CC package with RUM and it installs properly. We can run RUM in a terminal with sudo. Even if the user is an admin, we have to run it using sudo.

Can we run RUM on a Mac without Admin rights? How do we run RUM on a Mac without admin or sudo?

According to:

Use Adobe Remote Update Manager

the use of sudo is required.

SCCM, ARD or JAMF/Casper Suite would be helpful if available.

We have working packages that include RUM on Mac and Windows. RUM works on Windows but not on the Macs without sudo in a terminal as admin.

Do I need a deployment tool like JAMF?
