RemoteUpdateManager "install updates returned statusCode:44, errorCode:7"

Hi all,

I've set up an internal Adobe Software Update Server and it works but one update(for InDesign) continually fails to deploy:

12/10/14 11:49:49:054 | [ERROR] |  | AAMEE | Utilities | RemoteUpdateManager |  |  | 245368 | install updates returned statusCode:44, errorCode:7

12/10/14 11:49:49:054 | [ERROR] |  | AAMEE | Utilities | RemoteUpdateManager |  |  | 245368 | *** Failed to install (AdobeInDesignCC2014-10.0/10.1.0.071) ...

I've tried rebuilding the directory with the AUSST tool twice and each time I get the same error.

Also, none of the "2014.1" updates for applications seem to be picked up by this tool, is this the expected behaviour? What's the point of the updater if it can't update Dreamweaver 2014.0 to 2014.1? (Versions 14 to 15).

Thanks in advance.

Sean

I would be interested to know if you ever got this resolved, we're having very similar issues here ... no failures when updating AUSST .. but we're not getting any 2014.1 updates either.

We're running AUSST 3.0, have done for incremental and fresh updates as well, but it seems like at some point the updates just stopped coming in.

It seems a permission issue on destination folder. Make sure you have sufficient privilege on below locations.

WIN: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory

MAC: Library>application support>Adobe>AAMUpdaterInventory

If error persist, please send the RemoteUpdateManager.log via private message from location below.

  • In Windows, the log file is in the %temp% location.
  • In Mac OS, the log file is in the folder ~/Library/Logs/.

Thanks,

Ashish
