Question

Requiring a security code with MFA turned OFF

How do we prevent CC app from requiring a security code even though MFA is turned off? Its EXTREMELY disruptive to user workflow and to admins because the linked admin email is not accessible to users on the account. We want to never have to type in a security code, only to use name/pass for login.

Hello,

It might be caused due to our security monitoring systems, so we can hardly change anything there. If it detects any unusual activity like sign-ins from multiple sources using a wide range of IP addresses or something that might have triggered the security concern.

A user can use an account to activate the license on two machines and can use the software on one computer at a time. If the concern is about installation than the admin can create a package from the admin console and install it on the user's device.

Hi, I'm the OP, this is my other hat 🙂

We use the Photo plan on two computers, one for tethered photo capture and the other for processing (one user.) Only one is in use at a time. Today, the capture machine had been idle for a week (users not in the office due to COVID and working remotely) and showed "You have been signed out, please sign back in." On trying to sign back in to the CC App, it would not go past the screen wanting a security code either to the email (which is an admin account) or the mobile phone (which again is not user-accessible.)

I've seen this before but usually, exiting and relaunching the CC App gets around this. Not today. To be clear, we DO NOT want 2FA on this account because multiple admins access it, and because not everyone has access to the email and phone that are needed for a security code.

This is on a business LAN with NAT and 10. addresses so behind a firewall and not using a public IP.

Not sure why it happens, but why don't you set each user's phone and email validation to their own phone and email? It sounds almost as if multiple end users are sharing a single account. Is this an enterprise plan or retail plan?
