Setting Adobe Acrobat DC as default pdf in windows 10 enterprise deployment

I need an alternative way of setting Adobe Acrobat DC as the default app for pdf's in Win10. DISM does not work for our environment and GPO may cause issues since we have have users who do not always boot from domain. I played around with some of the items in Configuration Wizard and nothing seems to work.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

There's no other documented or supported method. I think you need to use DSIM is you want the settings to stick. Moreover, hooks to the PDF handler reside in more than one registry location so hacks are likely to be complicated and unreliable.
