Snapshot Deployment?

Our primary mechanism for deployment in the past has been snapshot deployment. We do not currently use SCCM or other mechanisms to deploy software. What is the best way to proceed?

    Hi,

There is a relation between the machine and the licensing in CS6. So, you cannot directly create a serialized package and deploy it on machines. This will break the licensing and install the products in trial mode.

If you create disc images and duplicate it to the PCs, the ideal way for you should be -

    1. Create a trial package using AAMEE.

    2. Deploy this trial package on a machine and create an image of it. Then use this image to roll out on other machines.

    3. Create a Serialization executable using AAMEE.Run this executable on all the machines where the trial package was deployed. This will serialize the products. Remember to run this executable on all the machines after the trial package was deployed. (Do not run it on the image itself).

The documentation for AAMEE is posted at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html . Please refer this to see how to create trial package using AAMEE and how to serialize the trial install using Serialization executable.

If you face any problem, you can mail me at skatariy@adobe.com
