Sync errors that don't make sense?

Small design agency using CC Teams, I'm the file owner and my co-workers are collaborating with me on my InDesign files (no one has the files open at the same time though).

Every so often I get a 'Conflicted Copy' file duplicate, here's the weird thing – the duplicates name the computer involved in the conflict, but the computers belong to co-workers who haven't opened the files (sometimes never) like our manager, or photographer who doesn't work on these files ever.

Anyone know what this could be?

Our photographer did add some images to a folder, but this was over a month ago and they haven't been back since, and they never opened the InDesign files. The manager may have opened them once to check something, but not recently. So I don't understand why these 2 users' names are coming up as conflicted copies?

Thanks but this doesn't help, the files are not open on another computer, in fact the computers named in the conflicts have never opened the files ever.

We have a system where we drag files to a 'work in progress' folder, to make sure no other users open them, but the 2 users named in the conflicts are not designers so never open the files.
