Update to 4.9.09.504 errors out with 202

I have searched the forum and found great info about the direct download and install of the latest version.

However, the latest version available for download is 4.8.2.478.

When will you update the download link?

Thanks

Thomas

Thanks to Kglad for moving this post to the correct public forum!

Thomas, pending other suggestion in this public forum discussion, I would recommend you contact your I.T. department, even though they have allowed local admin access, it still is insufficient for you to apply the update to the Creative Cloud desktop app.

The Creative Cloud for Enterprise membership includes a variety of methods that organizations can use to deploy and or suppress updates.  The fact that you are being prompted to apply the update to 4.9.09.504 would seem to indicate they have not fully implemented those measures on the laptop you are currently using.

Thomas, I reviewed the e-mail address you used to post to this public forum discussion, but I do not see an active Creative Cloud membership.  What type of Creative Cloud membership did your organization purchase?  If you have a Creative Cloud for Team or Enterprise account, then please work with your local Creative Cloud admin so that they can manage the update.  The current rollout effort is focused on Individual members, so if you have a CCT or CCE membership, you will not receive a message to update unless they are attempting to allow you to manage the updates yourself.

Error 202 occurs because the installer is unable to download or extract the necessary assets successfully.  If your organization does want you to update your Adobe applications yourself, then please make sure they have allowed access to all of the servers listed in Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints .

As previously mentioned, Error 202 occurs when the assets are unable to be extracted.  If you can access all of the necessary Adobe servers, which it seems likely since you are being prompted to update the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application, then you may be looking at a permission issue on the current computer.  Please verify with your I.T. department that you have the necessary rights to install applications on the computer.

Hi Jeff, yes, I am using an Enterprise account for my installation. I think my company has simply not yet updated the resources and therefore I cannot update. I have just installed CC on my laptop and on the first start it directly tries to update.

As the install works, I am a local admin and CC shows an available update, I guess all prerequisites are fulfilled.

    Will try later again.

Or is there a way to disable this update?

    Thanks

    Thomas

these are user-to-user forums, but updates are rolled-out at a variety of times for different users on various servers.

generally, the latest cc desktop app is here, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

i have 4.8.476 and there's no reason (that i know of) to update it.

Kglad, we are currently in the process of rolling out update 4.9.09.504 worldwide.  The release notes at Release notes for the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app will be updated once the rollout is complete in all countries/regions.
