Question

Updating reader 11.0.5 to 11.0.11 Does not work.

I have reviewed the enterprise deployment guide, however the process is not working. I am constantly getting errors that acroext.exe isn't in the cab file. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

What is the error?  Do you have  a verbose installation log?  Are you attempting to update an AIP deployment?

Error 1334. The file 'acroext.exe' cannon be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

I am doing an AIP deployment.

Why do I see a “another version is already installed” error?

Verify no previous product has been installed. If it has uninstall it. If you’ve already uninstalled, try Microsoft’s or Adobe’s cleaner tool.

This error can also appear if you are patching an AIP in an unsupported order.
