Upgrading lab to latest CC apps

We have a Mac lab that is currently running out of date CC software, all device licenses.

I would like to create a new package with the latest updates and install the latest software

Question: Would it be best to uninstall the current software and then run the new package?

My machine names are not changing so would this affect my licensing?

Thanks,

Scot

We tend to uninstall previously installed versions before upgrading. That works for us.

Adobe does recommend that you upgrade before uninstalling. That way you can transfer settings into the new versions before uninstalling. In a lab I'd do a complete uninstall via an "uninstall all"-package and then upgrade.
