Versions of Premiere Pro in Creative Cloud do not match the Adobe Admin Console on Mac.

The latest security patcha and long term supported version available for Premiere 2024 is 24.6.4. That specific version is not listed in Adobe Creative Cloud, nor any other version between 24.6.1 and 24.6.4. Our organization deploys Adobe apps via the Creative Cloud app and users have varying available versions of Premiere in the Creative Cloud app. Could someone explain why this is and why is the list not complete? 24.6.4 is available to create a package via the Adobe Admin console but not in Adobe Creative Cloud. Ideally, we will need everyone to update to 24.6.4.

Thank you for reaching out. The issue you're experiencing, where specific versions of Premiere Pro (e.g., 24.6.4) are available in the Adobe Admin Console but not listed in the Creative Cloud app, could be due to a caching issue or specific environment settings.

 

Could you please confirm if this issue is occurring on Mac only or across both Windows and Mac environments? Also, is it affecting a single user or multiple users?

I recommend first updating the Creative Cloud app:

Open the Creative Cloud app > Help > Check for Updates.

If the required version is still not visible, try clearing the cache files by following these steps:

  • For Windows: Navigate to C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Creative Cloud\ACC.
  • For Mac: Navigate to /Users/[Your Username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Creative Cloud/ACC.

Delete or move any cache-related files, such as opm.db, to a backup location. After removing the cache, check if you can see the required version.

To ensure consistency across users and avoid version discrepancies, I recommend utilizing managed packages through the Admin Console. This will allow you to restrict updates to IT-approved versions. For more details, please refer to this document.
