why does admin console change the device names

Perhaps I'm not understanding how the admin console works.

I have 40 device licenses deployed with the full creative cloud suite. There are times when I check the console and some of the devices

show as something other than the computer name.

Leaving me to think that licenses were hijacked licenses, in one case I deactivated a license on a teacher because the console listed the

device as an iPhone and not the Computer_id name on the laptop.  Next day the teacher visits and says her license has

been deactivated/denied access.

Anyone else notice this?
