Question

Why I keep getting asked to create a company group

I have been contacted by multiple Adobe contacts over the course of several years, to consolidate Adobe accounts that are under my company’s email domain, but really should be treated as individual accounts where each user is paying their own fees (they just happen to be using their work email to do so).

I get the asked the same question, if I am willing to consolidate these under my corporate account.  I have reviewed and researched this, and not only their accounts cheaper, but they are not sponsored by my company.  I keep saying I don’t want to consolidate, and my request is ignored and I am asked again.

The latest thing is that Adobe has also started CC’ing the other contacts when they ask me this question.  So, my bosses wife, who has nothing to do with the company except an email name, is being included on the emails.  So then I have to explain to those people what’s going.

I have now reached out 6 times, over more than a month, to the last person at Adobe to ask me this question, and they have yet to respond.

So, short of blacklisting the adobe.com domain on my email server, how do I get this resolved so they don’t ask me, and don’t contact people who have nothing to do with the company?

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I can’t, because when they ask, they are also CCing people like the owners wife and son-in-law.  Then they ask me what’s going on.  Those people also shouldn’t be bothered, and it’s not easy to tell the owners family member to just ignore the messages, as they inevitably ask me why they are being bothered.

    Hi @mariog18069450,

Thanks for laying this out, and we're sorry it's gotten to this point. Being asked the same thing repeatedly after you've already declined is frustrating on its own, and having people who aren't part of your company pulled into those emails, and then coming to you for an explanation, isn't a position you should be put in. We'd like to help get this actually stopped rather than worked around.

This isn't something you should have to keep managing on your own or solve by blocking our domain. Let us take it directly. I've sent you a personal message to collect a few details so we can look into the outreach and the contacts who shouldn't be included.

Please check that message when you get a chance, and we'll take it from there.

    Thanks,
    ^AV
