Question

Why Was the Digital Signing Certificate for Acrobat.exe in 11.0.20 Allowed to Expire on 5/7/17?

We use Microsoft's AppLocker to whitelist executables in our environment. AppLocker began blocking the execution of AppLocker.exe on some of our machines today. It appears that the certificate used to sign the exe expired yesterday.

Yes, but that shouldn't matter. If the support lifecycle for the product is going to be longer than the life of the publishing certificate used to sign the application, it should be addressed by an update prior to the expiration of the cert.

Correction to original post: AppLocker began blocking acrobat.exe, not applocker.exe (I couldn't find a way to edit original post.)
