I have been trying to install Flash Player for three days now. I have gone through every support step that was listed and still I can't see any content. Started with the install, didn't work; next came the unistall and reinstall didn't work. Upgraded browser, didn't work. Checked IE settings, didn't work. Checked Admin access, didn't work. Look in registry (as per adobe support instructions), nothing wrong. I also have Norton Internet Utilities and I went into the firewall settings and allowed all active x and flash content, still nothing.

Please, please, please, help!

SubInACL worked great, but you need to follow through with all the steps Darren gives you to make sure that you are not running the fix without having the conditions. Kudos to Adobe for taking the time to call from CA to PA and fixing a Microsoft problem! If more companies support pages were like this, there would be a lot more happy users. Listen to what Darren has to say, he knows what he is talking about. Well, again, thank you to Adobe and happy flash design!!!

Still having problems with Flash Player. I did everything Darren said and everything works perfect untill I use Internet Explorer (latest version). Other browser (Firefox) no problems, so I think Flashplayer is installed properly. What goes wrong? IE says "please install" but installation is already done, otherwise I could not see anything with Firefox.
Strange,.... Flashplayer works on my other computer with Firefox AND with IE.

All this is well and good if you use Vista or XP Pro... what about those of us who use XP Home edition, as I do...do these fixes also apply to us?

    Hello,

I am having a lot of problems installing flash player. I have tried and tried and it just doesnt want to work on thsi pc. I have downloaded teh uninstalled, deleted the flash folder from within the windows/system32 folder, emptied temp folder, rebooted, set permissions in regedit, and still its not work. It seems its not installing all the way. When I agree for it to install it shows the ball with the F in it for a moment with the green dashed line below it and then it goes to here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/flash/completion/en/0/
and there is no movie at the top of the page likes it says there should be.
Is there anway i can download the entire install file and run it manually instead of doing the online install?? or does anyone have ANY other ideas on how to get this install t o work?
This pc is running winxp home and seems up to date.

I am also an having the same issues with my FlashPlayer.
I am looking forward to getting the issue resolved.

To give you a small amount of background info:

My OS is XP Home with SP2.

I have run registry cleaners and feel that is where the problem came from…. Much to my error for running them!

I am the administrator form my PC, looked at the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
    Group or User Names: Everyone
    That is the onlything listed.

As others have said, I have run the uninstaller from adobe and tried to re-install and have had no success.

When I try to view any flash content I get the message that I need to install flash player.

I would appreciate any assistance in this issue.

    Thanking you in advance!

    Darren:

Is it possible to have you help me fix me system? I have not been able to fix the problem using your suggestions here. On our computer, two poeple use the same one, with two separate logins. Both of us have administrative accss, but the other login can use Flashplayer, and I cannot. Any suggestions?
