Flash Player Downloading, but can't see content.

I have been trying to install Flash Player for three days now. I have gone through every support step that was listed and still I can't see any content. Started with the install, didn't work; next came the unistall and reinstall didn't work. Upgraded browser, didn't work. Checked IE settings, didn't work. Checked Admin access, didn't work. Look in registry (as per adobe support instructions), nothing wrong. I also have Norton Internet Utilities and I went into the firewall settings and allowed all active x and flash content, still nothing.

Please, please, please, help!

SubInACL worked great, but you need to follow through with all the steps Darren gives you to make sure that you are not running the fix without having the conditions. Kudos to Adobe for taking the time to call from CA to PA and fixing a Microsoft problem! If more companies support pages were like this, there would be a lot more happy users. Listen to what Darren has to say, he knows what he is talking about. Well, again, thank you to Adobe and happy flash design!!!

After you install WinZip, use it to extract the reset_min.zip file to the desktop.

http://www.supportflash.com/reset_min.zip You will need both subinacl.exe and reset_min.cmd extracted onto the desktop.

***If you need further support, please open a support ticket for assistance with Adobe here:

You can use a program like WinZip to do this. Download and use the trial version.

    Darren -

I have tried pretty much everything with the flash player tech support notes - uninstall/re-install; regedit for permissions; norton allowing activex and no popupblocker; subinacl with reset; etc. The problem seems to lie in the registry but I can't seem to find it at all. Flash player used to work on the computer (XPHome) but each user (3) seemed to go down at different times. Now I can't get it to work anywhere. Please help with this issue as I need this program for work and games. Thanks for your help in advance.

Does Anyone else have this problem?- When I try to play my games a box from windows comes up and says "MACROMEDIA PROJECTOR" .is not working. I downloaded Adobe flash player 9. And didn't have a problem before downloading 9. Can anyone help please?????Thanks so much
    September 6, 2007
    shellerlyn,

There are two types of Macromedia Projectors (all from apps created before Adobe bought Macromedia). Those made by Macromedia Director... the executables made for the desktop with that application are officially called 'projectors'. These would be EXE's on your desktop, but they could have a custom icon..

Flash standalone executables are ALSO called projectors! They're standalone executables also, but they usually have a round icon with an "f" in it.

In a Flash projector the entire player for Flash is -inside- the EXE. You don't even need a downloaded browser plugin, and there is no relationship between the Flash Player plugin for browsers and the EXE's created with Flash as standalones.

Find one of your games on your desktop, and right-click and choose "Properties". If the game was made with Flash it will usually tell you what version of Flash created the projector in the 'description' field. For example, a projector made with Flash 8 would say 'Macromedia Flash Player 8.0 r22'.

What do you see in properties?

Hi, thanks so much for responding. I went to my game and clicked on properties like you said ,but I don't see anything except for exe on the end of it. Would it make a difference if it's a game downloaded from a game site? I wonder if I should try and uninstall the adobe flashplayer 9 and try again? Or do like that one person said to uninstall the correct way then reinstall maybe adobe 8 or something? Cause it sounds like everyone is having trouble with the newer version. Also I have windows vista.
Let me know what you think. Thanks so much!
