Question

unreal 5.0.3 to 5.3.2

hello

If I open a file, created in unreal 5.0.3 and with many sbsar, in unreal 5.3.2, do I run the risk of losing this file?
Do SBSAR materials continue to be of the same quality?

Is it appropriate to make a backup of the Unreal project as a precaution?
How should I make a backup of the project to prevent this? Can I simply duplicate the project folder?

thanks

Hi @Abilio5EC9, as there may have been major changes between versions, I strongly recommend making a backup of your project before updating. Duplicating the project file and zipping it should suffice. But all .sbsar material quality should persist between versions as Unreal Engine is just loading the generated textures files.
