FrameMaker 2022 crashes or freezes several times a day

Hello,

My FrameMaker 2022 crashes or freezes a lot, sometimes several times a day. It crashed eight times on Tuesday, three times on Wednesday, once yesterday and once today already.

I usually get a message that looks like this:

I try to e-mail fmerror@adobe.com and my messages come back as undeliverable.

Please help. Thanks!

There's an issue with the fmerror email currently (the FM folks know about it - see https://community.adobe.com/t5/framemaker-discussions/fmerror-adobe-com-is-bouncing/m-p/14021725#M80554 ), but the FM support line is tcssup@adobe.com.

I'd try renaming your Prefs folder first - see https://community.adobe.com/t5/framemaker-discussions/fm-16-0-5-1096-fully-updated-frequently-freezing-in-windows-11/m-p/14094001#M80926

Thanks. FrameMaker appears to run crash-free until I try to convert my ditamap into book chapters by changing GenerateFlatBook=0 to GenerateFlatBook=1 in the ditamap-output.ini files. Then it crashes when I try to save my ditamap as a book.

Even scarier is that when I revert to using the old 17 folder, FrameMaker now crashes immediately. I may have made things worse.

On Friday, I called Adobe Support (1-800-833-6687) twice. The first called was suddenly silent. During the second call, I updated my software and my Temp folder was cleaned out.

FrameMaker crashed again this morning. Suggestions welcome.
