Fix slowness due to unexpected global objects

Brush library is full, they come back after being deleted once document is closed and reopenend.

The script doesnt work and files are not workable!!! I need help please. its taken me 7 hours to modify a simple sketch...i cant even attach it below as the file is wayyyy too big.

And from the post @Monika Gause linked to, was this advice from adobe. Not sure if still relevant, but it describes a similar problem.

That is the same page the alert points you to when you open the file. Unfortunately the script does not work.

Hello @Sabrina33609987hdna,

Could you try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?
If the problem persists, c
ould you share more details, like the version of the OS/Illustrator installed, and if Illustrator behaves this way with all files, so I can better assist you?

This file is corrupted and needs to be examined by the team. 

 

Looks like that bug from 15 years ago in which brushes, symbols, swatches multiplied by themselves.

Hi Monica,

Yes!!! OMG a boatload of brushes and swatches. I mean this is a blk/white sketch and its 219MB!!!! I have a few files with the same problems. I put a link to the document in my original post if anyone wants to give it a go 😉
