Gradient Stroke 3D Effect

Hi,

I am trying to apply graidents to my 3d objets. I use the 3d and bevel tool. I noticed the 3d object takes the color of whatever the stroke is for that object unless the storke color is set to a gradient.  How can I apply a graident stroke to a 3d object? I have been able to color 3d objects by mapping gradients to the object but i don't like the result and it's very time consuming. I'm still getting my bearings with the program. I attched screen shots to demonstrate.

Thanks,

T

Mohammed,

I apprecaite the reply! Thank you. I followed your insturctions and it worked wonderfully for a prism. I have attached and an image of a 3d shape that I woild like to apply a a smooth gradinet to. I played around with the blend steps in the 3d and bevel menu before I expaned the apperance and that helped some but I would like one continuous gradient for the curved shape. How can i accomplish this?

Thanks,

Travis
