I can't see the mouse cursor inside the artboard

in the tools and sections it does let me look at it but when I put it on the work table it disappears

People have associated this issue with a recent Windows update. Rolling back Windows solved the issue for others. There are some threads about it: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/illustrator-mouse-missing-on-artboard-page/m-p/14490717#M401109

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. I hope the suggestions shared by Monika helped resolve the problem. If not, would you mind trying to run Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps? Also, try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.

If the problem persists, kindly share more details, like the System Info (Help>System Info) from Illustrator, the Microsoft System Information report (https://adobe.ly/3v47gUh) or macOS System Report (https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/syspr35536/mac#:~:text=View%20a%20system%20report), and a screen recording of the problem, so we can investigate this further.
