Illustrator 25.4 no longer types German umlauts (ü, ö)

Hallo,

ich habe AI 25.4 gerade installiert. Kann normal Text einfügen, aber keine Umlaute schreiben (egal in welcher Schrift). Bei der Vorschau kann ich aber bei "Beispiel" Vorschautexte mit Umlaten auswählen und sehe sie ohne Probleme.

In anderen Programmen wie InDesign oder Word Programmen, ist es gar kein Problem. Auch kann ich ein "ö" von Word nach Illustrator kopieren und es funktioniert.

 

Die Tastatur vom System (Windows 10) ist auch auf Deutsch eingestellt. 

Beim schreiben von Umlaten, wird einfach nichts geschrieben.

Hat jemand eine Idee, was ich machen könnte?

    Obviously, the issue of the disappearing messages in this thread has been cured, as far as I can see.

     

    Otherwise I would have woken Len Hewitt to put his foot down.

      This thread is supposed to have about 38 answers right now, but I can only see about 27. Some harmless jokes have obviously been removed, as far as I can see.

       

      Is there some special reason why it is truncated this way (in case anyone knows about it)?

      The amalgamation of two similar, but different threads somehow failed as far as I can see. Some posts were just deleted without notification.

       

      May I ask why? And what person did delete them? There were just some harmless jokes, no?

        Hi Kurt,

        I guess I critizised too much the update politics of Adobe.
        Often it happens that really silly bugs are delivered with the update, and in th eworking process it is more than just annoying.
        The user is the BETA testing personn, not the conpany anymore.

          Hallo,
          habe dasselbe Problem. Zuerst denkt man ja: So blöd kann doch keiner programmieren.
          Und macht sich auf die Fehlersuche. Tastatur defekt? Schriftsatz defekt?… hmmm… "ä" funktioniert…
          Tja, gewöhnen wir uns daran. Wir zahlen hübsch jeden Monat unser Geld als Betatester für eine der größten Softwarefirmen der Welt. Die sich selbst scheinbar keine ordentliche Testphase für Ihre Programme leisten kann.
          Schon ärgerlich.
