Issue with Font Filter tool in the fonts tab in latest Illustrator update

With the latest update for Illustrator if I click on the filter tab in the Font Menu, Illustrator freezes for a few minutes. If I'm patient it will continue where I left off. This happens every time I access the filter tab to sort by characteristics (script, hand made, serif..etc)
