Repeated error message: 'This printer driver is not supported by illustrator'

Every time I save a file or start Illustrator I get the error: 'This printer driver is not supported by illustrator'. It's super annoying and just started when I upgraded to 2017. How do I fix this?

    Windows 10 64 bit

    Illustrator 2017.0.1 release // 21.1.0 (64 bit)

    My default printer is managed by Windows, and is automatically set to whatever one I used last.

    However! I disabled this, and set my default printer to "Adobe PDF", and it all seems to be working well now!

    Can you walk me thru Step by step how you disabled it. I can't use short cuts without the error message poping up.

    What OS and version are you using? What is your default printer?
