snap guides not accurate

Good Morning,

My snap guides are not accurate; they struggle to snap into place that it almost feels like there's some sort of a magnetic resistance. What can I do to resolve this?

It looks to me as though you need to turn off Snap to Grid (near the bottom of the View menu) and perhaps turn on Smart Guides.

    Hi @srishtib8795206   @tromboniator

Please check the link to get an idea of what I am saying.

I want to manually align my objects, but it keeps skipping the main point that I'm trying to align it with. I could easily use the 'alignment' tool, but it does not always work in other instances. Please help me resolve this problem, I do not enjoy working like this

Sorry about the issue. I would request if you can share the complete workflow or a small video of the issue.

    Hi Srishti,

I am not able to take a video of my workflow, but I¹ve attached a screenshot

that I hope will give you an idea of what I¹m trying to do.

In this example I¹m trying to align the top of my vector artwork to the

guide (I¹ve also tried vice-a-versa), but it¹s resisting. It either goes

past it, or below it and not on the exact position I want it, no matter how

much I zoom in to get the accurate position. Like I mentioned on the forum,

it feels like it has some sort of a magnetic resistance. I am unable to

    control it.

Could you please give more specific information about what you are attempting to do, what you expect, and what actually happens? Screenshots and sketches can be very helpful to the helpers.

    Thanks,

    Peter
